This session will introduce the concept of planned giving in an easy-to-understand format intended to demystify what is (incorrectly!) thought of as a complex and “scary” topic. In addition to empowering staff members to immediately engage in this important component of advancement work, it will also define the long-term significance of planned giving in the life of our schools. As small advancement shops that lack adequate staff, work on a shoe-string budget and are stretched in myriad directions, we will discuss how to seamlessly integrate an effective, productive and successful planned giving program into your advancement efforts.
